Richie, of Mexican roots, was born and raised in California 🇺🇸, between Pacific breezes and the golden sunsets of the West Coast.
Even with a comfortable life in a beautiful seaside city, surrounded by family and loved ones, he felt something was missing. In 2020, his life changed completely when he fulfilled a dream: living in Spain. Drawn by the culture and a strange sense of truly being home. What he didn’t know then was that this decision would change his life forever.
Alejandra, from Extremadura 🇪🇸 with deep roots, was born in a small village where life moves to the rhythm of the seasons. A lover of travel and sunshine-filled beers, she lived in Seville for several years until moving to Madrid in 2016 in search of new horizons and opportunities. Unknowingly, she too was getting closer to the love that fate had prepared for her.
In 2022, after years of life in Madrid, their paths crossed for the first time… with a “match.” What started as a fun conversation soon turned into a series of laid-back dates—walks through Malasaña, spontaneous drinks in Lavapiés, and group trips filled with belly laughs. It was a year of connection, cultural exchange, genuine friendship—until one night, with few words, they both knew this was something much more.
As a couple, they began building a world of their own. They traveled, shared stories, and blended their cultures so naturally that it felt like they’d known each other forever.
And it was on one of those trips, in the magical San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, that Richie took the next step. On April 18, 2024, on a cobblestone street lit by warm lights and music in the background, he got down on one knee and proposed to Alejandra. She said yes—through tears and laughter.
Since then, they’ve lovingly prepared every detail of their wedding, which will take place on March 15, 2026. It will be a celebration full of history, roots, crossed paths, and most of all—love.
Because sometimes love doesn’t come when you search for it, but when you’re truly ready to live it. And Alejandra and Richie are.
